Livermore, CA – The Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting Livermore Mayor John Marchand who will present a State of the City address at its Wine Country Luncheon on Thursday June 28 at the LARPD Robert Livermore Community Center.

“LVCC is honored to host the mayor of Livermore each year for this annual update,” said Dawn Argula, LVCC CEO. “LVCC appreciates Mayor Marchand’s leadership and members and guests look forward to hearing about the City’s progress in meeting the expectations that support a vibrant and sustainable economy.”

In addition to highlighting the city’s financial health and status of city services, Mayor Marchand is expected to provide updates on the city’s progress in meeting its goals for housing and on its execution of the next phase of the revitalization of the Downtown District that include the development of a boutique hotel, the Stockmen’s Park with surrounding cultural and commercial facilities and affordable housing units.

The program also includes the LVCC Leadership Livermore graduation ceremony.  Thirty-two participants, sponsored by their employers, completed a 9-month program that examined the inner workings of major business, government and community assets in the Livermore Valley.

The popular LVCC monthly luncheon series is set at various venues throughout the beautiful Livermore Valley wine region. Held May through September, the luncheon themes include topics and issues relevant to the dynamic economy at the local, regional, state and national levels.
