This weekend, California will be experiencing a heatwave that will start on Saturday and last through Monday, Labor Day. Due to the forecasted rise in temperature, the state’s independent electric grid operator has issued a Flex Alert and is calling on Californians to conserve energy. | ||||||||||
Just two weeks ago, when we asked our customers to reduce their electricity use during the afternoon and evening hours, we saw a decline in energy usage. This is proof that when Californians work together, we can accomplish great things that help us all. | ||||||||||
What You Can Do to Help | ||||||||||
To decrease the level of energy used in our state, we’re asking everyone to take small steps to reduce your power usage every day through Monday, September 7, especially from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. | ||||||||||
