July 19, 2018 Livermore, CA (via PRWeb) – Manufacturing = the production of merchandise for use or sale using labor and machines, tools, chemical and biological processing, or formulation. The term may refer to a range of human activity, from handicraft to high tech, but is most commonly applied to industrial production, in which raw materials are transformed into finished goods on a large scale (source-Wikipedia).  It is a little known fact that the Livermore Valley is home to hundreds of manufacturing businesses, collectively a large contributor to the economic health of the region.

On Thursday July 26, the Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce features speakers from local manufacturing businesses at its monthly Wine Country Luncheon series at the Garré Vineyard & Winery Bella Rosa Event Center. “LVCC is excited to showcase businesses in the manufacturing industry, using this as an opportunity to share their stories, the economic impacts of their presence, future plans and how we can work together to support their success and strengthen the local community,” said Dawn Argula, the Chamber CEO.

Representatives confirmed for the speaker program include Ray Vallejo of Topcon Positioning Systems; Kathleen Gonzales of Vintage 99 Label Mfg.; Jacki Simonson of Admedes and moderator Karen Burns of Sensiba San Filippo and vice chair of the Association of Manufacturers-Bay Area.

The popular LVCC monthly luncheon series is set at various venues throughout the beautiful Livermore Valley wine region. Held May through September, the luncheon themes include topics and issues relevant to the dynamic economy at the local, regional, state and national levels.
