Livermore, CA – The Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce recognized local Chamber member businesses at its #LivValBiz Awards luncheon on September 28, 2023, highlighting the “best, brightest and most promising members of the business community”, said Jody Amos, chair of the Chamber Board of Directors.

Held outdoors at the Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort & Spa, the event was attended by dignitaries, nominees, and business leaders from the Livermore Valley. “This event is all about celebrating the business community,” said Sherri Souza, Chamber Interim President and CEO, “We were excited about hosting the awards again this year recognizing the achievements of our local businesses, small and large. This year we also included the graduation of our 2020 & 2023 Leadership Livermore classes in the celebration.”

2023 award recipients were recognized in one of six categories:

The business demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit that reflects a commitment to the Livermore Valley’s future. Stands out for its exceptional business practices and community involvement. Best in Hospitality Award – McGrail Vineyard & Winery
The business showcases Livermore Valley in a positive light; and goes the extra mile in providing service to visitors, enhancing the visitors’ experiences and desire to return to the Livermore Valley. McGrail Vineyard & Winery

Emerging New Business of the Year Award – Less Lethal California
This business is an emerging growth company that has demonstrated its ability to disrupt and have an immediate impact; has a capacity for creativity and innovation; experienced growth and established itself as a leader in its industry. Less Lethal California

Distinguished Large Business of the Year Award – (Tie) Las Positas College and Livermore Area Recreation & Park District
This business demonstrates innovative manufacturing concepts; exhibits strength in the area of employee training; and demonstrates a commitment to the Livermore Valley through community engagement and support. Las Positas College, LARPD

Non-Profit of the Year Award – Spectrum Community Services
This organization demonstrates a prevalent presence in the community; is innovative, builds relationships with the Livermore business community; and is a leader in the non-profit sector. Spectrum Community Services

Excellence In Health Care – Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley
The business or organization exemplifies excellence in corporate citizenship by giving back to the community; possesses a corporate culture that enhances the lives of its employees; stands out in the community for its community support and collaboration. Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley

Ambassador of the Year – Suzy Clifton, Altamont Limo
An Ambassador of the Chamber is our volunteer arm that assists us at after-hours mixers and ribbon-cutting events. They help us connect our members and assist with member outreach. This award system is points-based and determined by the Ambassador group. Altamont Limo
